For this poster I was given a small selection of typefaces and the text as a celebration of 50 years of the book Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino. For this poster I was tasked with only using two colours as it was going to be screen printed. I had to design the poster with inspiration to Swiss design.
For the poster I was asked to incorporate an element of a city into it. Whether this was one from the book or one I was from. I chose to do the city I grew up in. I took a screenshot of it from Google Maps and then used the circles on top of key places inside it such as schools and friends or families houses.
I then printed it on acetate ready to take it for screen printing. On the day of screen printing I decided I didn't like the colours I chose when designing the poster on screen so I swapped them over to red and blue.
