For this series of tasks, I spent time away from the computer to explore new ways of designing. It allowed me to experiment with different materials and processes as well as learninag new ways of mark making, which I can then use in future projects. I started with the posters, as shown below and then started to experiment with a range of processes.
Using the photocopier to create Glitch distorted type, I started to experiment with movement - spinning, sliding and turning. I was hesitant with this technique to begin with because I didn't know what the final result would be. After I started getting more creative and experimenting more I found ways to make it look glitched and get the outcome I wanted.
Next I took time go around my college campus taking photos of different textures I found. This is because in my work I can use textures as backgrounds or behind my work to give it extra texture. I decided to use the two, which can be found below.
I created some mark making using black drawing ink. I used bubble wrap, wood and a sponge to create different textures. I ended up using the middle mark making to the outcome on the right to layer on top as well.
Below is the final outcomes. I went into photoshop and played with the layers including all the elements I have shown above.
