YOU Newspaper
I got in a group with four of my peers. We were tasked with designing and publishing an outcome which could be deconstructed and still make sense.
The content for our publication came from the Election Address Collection in Bristol University. We had time to look at all the material kept there and then, as a group, we had to chose one specific subject. We chose to focus on how shock and fear factors are used to scare people into voting for a certain party.
I took lead on creating the pages based on shock whilst my peers focused on other subjects. We used a colour key, which we felt appropriate, for each section.
At the end of the brief we had an exhibition and a presentation to show our peers what we did and why.
For our publication we designed a newspaper. This was becuase they are unbound which meant pages could be taken out and viewed easily. For our final edition we went to the Newspaper Club where they printed it for us.
